Psychiatric Emergencies

Important – we are not an emergency service

This practice does not provide an emergency or crisis service and I am not able to offer 24‑hour support. If you are in crisis, feel unable to keep yourself safe, or are worried about an immediate risk to yourself or someone else, please seek urgent help using the options below.

If you need urgent help

  • Contact your GP or out‑of‑hours GP service and ask for an urgent appointment.
  • Call NHS 111 for urgent medical advice.
  • If you are in immediate danger, call 999 or go to your nearest Accident & Emergency (A&E) department.
  • You can also contact national listening and crisis support services (such as Samaritans on 116 123) for immediate emotional support.

If you have an upcoming appointment with me, you can let me know what has happened at our next meeting, but please do not wait for a routine appointment if you are in crisis or at immediate risk.
