Private Patients
For patients with private health insurance the cost of treatment may be covered by your health insurance provider so you should contact them first to confirm. I am registered with and therefore accept patients with health cover from all of the major providers. Your insurer will usually need a referral letter from your GP. In cases where private health insurance is not available, or indeed if you do not want to involve your GP, you will need to have the means to self-fund. I am registered with the following health care providers:
Fees
My fees are consistent with those recommended within all major health insurers’ guidelines.
Initial assessment: £365
Follow-up appointments: £190
Medication: Where necessary and agreed during consultation medication may be prescribed. Once you are stable on the medication your GP will be asked to continue providing repeat prescriptions.
Full payment must be made at the time of booking your appointment. Where private health cover is in place, unless you are provided with an authorisation number from your health provider, you will need to pay prior to appointment and then claim back subsequently from your insurer.
Cancellation and missed appointments: Appointments that are cancelled within 24-hours or missed without notice will be charged at full price. Cancellations with 48-hours’ notice will be charged at 50% of the full appointment fee.
